Andy & Jackie King
Jackie and Andy King met at the New England Culinary Institute, after which they moved to Portland, ME to pursue their careers in baking. After training at the Standard Baking Co., they decided to move to the North Shore of Massachusetts to try their hand at the bakery business. They have two children, Emaline and Elliot, and a rotating cast of animals living with them. They would not be able to do any of this without the ongoing patience and understanding of their parents, who pretty much are totally awesome.
OUR BAKERS We ask a lot of our bakers. Some of them have to get up at 2 am, some of them have to stay until midnight. They scoop hundreds of cookies and rolls hundreds of croissants, they work in front of 450 degree ovens, and they sweep the never-ending settling of flour on the bakery floor. They also produce some of the best breads and pastries we can imagine, and we all have a pretty darn good time doing it.
